I recently acquired a coin with a clear AH892 date (Dec 28, 1486 to Dec 18, 1487) which corresponds mostly to 1487. This is supposedly a coin from the Delhi Sultanate. These are really abundant and cheap, but not too interesting -- except for the date.
I'm thinking I should wait and post it to the 4th edition, so as not to have two threads running along just a couple of years apart. This way, the 3rd edition thread could be locked on Wednesday, as planned.

So chances are that, even if a coin from 1487 is posted, this thread will be locked on Thursday. I kind of prefer that, just for the symbolicity. If we do have something from 1486 waiting in the sidelines, I'm actually interested in how far we can take it with only a day or two to post each new date. (Last time I checked, our next three missing dates were 1480, 1473 and 1467, but it's possible that a non-missing date will not be noticed in time.) |

Does not seem fair to rob this edition a chance to push back a year further. You can post it again in the 4th edition thread on Thursday, after which this topic can be locked and a fifth edition started. |

1487 (AH 892) -- Delhi Sultanate, 1 tanka:   AH 892 mostly overlaps 1487 (Dec 28, 1486 to Dec 18, 1487) Both sides match (more of less) Rajgor 1509. |

Remember when I said this back on April 25th? Quote:
We have been waiting 297 days (since 7/3/17) for 1487.
We waited 471 days (3/10/16 to 6/23/17) for the 1491.
On 17 October 2018 the 1487 will be the new 1491. Looks like 1491 was still the toughest.  With that said, we are now ready for 1486 if one is out there just waiting for the chance to be seen. |

Last call! Last call for alcohol 1486! The fourth edition has caught up. I have decided to give this one a final day to get 1486 since the fourth cannot accept one until tomorrow. |
