Welcome to this thread 'davidrj', hope to see more of your coins here in days to come.
The Lorraine coin is really nice, I assume it is an issue from Charles III, would appreciate if you could tell us some more about the coin.

Duit (or Corte) (15)82 from the Lordship of Tournai under Philipp II (1556-1598) of Spain

Tournai, now a smaller city in Western Belgium was a township in Roman times and for some time the capital of the Frankish realm. During the middle ages it was an important city changing possession several times and when this coin was minted it was part of the Spanish Netherlands but still important enough to constitute it's own lordship (as indicated by the D.TORN in the legend of the coin).

3 Silvergroschen 1595 from the Grand-Duchy of Lithuania, under King Sigismund III of Poland

Just to let you know, since your coin was struck after the Union of Lublin in 1569, the coin is of the Commonwealth of Nobles rather than an issue of the Grand Duchy or the Crown (all issues of Zygmunt III Waza are) as the crowns were unified and power consolidated in Kraków at Wawel Castle until 1596 when the capitol was moved to Warszawa.

Thanks for the comment 'Groszy', my reference for the coin is Marian Gumowski's "Handbuch der Polnischen Numismatik" where it is listed under 'Sigismund III b) Litauische Praegungen' and has the number 1336. Taking your comment, the 'under' might be replaced by 'in the name' or 'with the name'.

AE Half Dams minted in Ilahi 32 (1587) in Kabul

The inscription on the obverse names "Kabul" and on the reverse "Ilahi 32". The Moghul Emperor Jalal al din Akbar later in his reign "established the Ilāhī era, which began on Rabīʿ II 963 (February 13, 1556), the date of his accession; the years were solar." Interesting coin, Med. Don't think I've seen one of these before. I assume the left image is the obverse...are the curvilinear marks all script? There's no image there, is there? Just writing?

Just the writing like on many Islamic coins. More of those will have to come when we dig down further, had to post this quickly because the Ilahi era started in yesterday's decade, so no further one with this dating system can be posted.

Having said this, today is 1571-1580 day.

Postscript:

I see 'EddieDiz' has already been active in this.

What is it about eastern European coins that makes them so prominent in this era?
When people post coins from the 1400 and 1500s, the bulk of them are Sigismund 1,2,or 3,
or Hungarian Denars. The countries that one would expect to see from that era, like
England, France, Italy... are only lightly represented. Anyone else notice this, or
is it just me? Is there a reason? High mintage, or high survival rate?
