Since the server did have problem for more than 24 hours (many of those offline), let's stay today on 1531-1540.

One more coin from me fitting into that period:

Very nice coin, excellent condition.
Don't mind if you post a coin a day or two later as long as it shows something new.
But please add some description, at least "1/2 Silvergroschen 1547 from Lithuania".
Hope you have more coins to post, for the enjoyment of everyone.

Nice coins 'chrsmat71'.

As per

Don't forget that you can also post coins for which the minting period starts in the decade even it if goes on for some time. While it will not solve the problem of going forward, it will give examples of what has been around at that time.

Now it's time to go on to 1521-1530 - as said before, if you missed out rather post a coin a couple days to late than jumping ahead.

Here my first installment:

I don't think I'd be able to upload any other photos (never mind that I would also have to make them), so here's the 1520s coin, since I already have photos for it:

Walking-Back-In-Time-From-1600-To-Antiquity-By-Decades.-Looking-For-440s

Salzburg uniface pfennig, under Prince-Archbishop Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg, 1521. The arms are Salzburg left (partly off flan) and Matthäus right, and the M below stands for Matthäus as well.
Don't have a photo of the other side, sorry (not that there's much to see on it).

What I have remaining (this side of Justinian) is several coins from the 1530s, one 1517 coin, one coin from late 15th century, and one coin likely from late 14th century.

And I don't even know exactly where the last two are (though I do have a suspicion).

EDIT: Well, that and a few very late Tver coppers that I have no idea where to put chronologically.

Here another Hungarian coin, earlier in the decade and from the previous king:

Denar 1523 L K minted under Louis II

This one is quite frugal with inscription, nothing apart from the date and the L K.
