SEL_69L In my younger days I was blessed to have my fathers 'old car' for my personal use. A 1966 Mercedes 230SL ! Very underpowered with a 2.3 liter engine but oh she was so sweet. White with red interior - convertible with hardtop ! She could go 100 mph but it took around 60 seconds to get there. http://youtube.com/watch?v=oaEM4JYFPfw

Mine is a slang term for a 50p coin in England. Back in my youth most people called the 10 shilling note a " 10 bob " note and a shilling was a " bob " so naturally it stuck and it is a term I still use today. Most people under the age of 30 wouldn't/don't have a clue what I am talking about, maybe I'm getting old. Also the local term for a dodgy individual/goods was " as bent as a ninebobnote " which is self explanatory. I will upload a pic for my avatar pretty soon, just waiting for my brother to dig out the item for me.

I could go more in depth about mine, and I will because I'm at 496 posts. This is the exact same user name I used on the astronomy forum website "cloudynights" for several years before I got interested in coins last year. I thought about using capital letters or a different name, but this one sort of feels like my internet forum identity now. I hang around here in the ancient sub-forum occasionally because of my fascination with extremely old things - dinosaurs, stars, ancient coins etc... cloudynights.com is, I believe, the worlds most popular internet astronomy forum.

I have a friend whose name is Robert Roberts. Backwards it is, 'Trebor Strebor'. The only name that everyone recognises him by is 'TREBS'.

For many years I have been a collector of Japanese swords, Echizen is a province in Japan and To means sword. So echizento means a sword from Echizen which was one of my first swords I bought over 40 years ago.

My username was originally "January First-of-May", in which form it is attested since early 2008; even earlier it was the same thing in Russian, originally created for Absurdopedia in late April 2007.
Specifically, January is the month I was born in, while First-of-May is (the translation of) the closest metro station to my home - which I thought would clash funnily with January.
