Yes realmoney--is there ever a time that there isn't a war? In fact the whole rationale of money creation is about paying for them (along with elections).

Been there, done that--25th infantry div--1969-70 Cu Chi/Cambodia, etc.

That is a great coin SW--pictured here, also--I wonder if the advertiser might want to reread his color descriptions, though:)

@Gothic,that is weird it says "Red". I will give them a call let them know about the Error.

@SMN0,this is what happens when Humans are unwilling or unable to do for each without payment. No other creatures on this Water Ball needs payment to do. We do and I think its safe to say this will not change for Humans.

SW--I suppose they were talking about the red maple leaf on the Canadian flag. Anyway--I could almost smell the leaves burning on that coin you mentioned and it reminds me of fall.

Just finished a great book, "Splendid Solution" about polio and the fight against it by many including Jonas Salk, who is on the commemorative dollar along with FDR, who was afflicted by the disease, as is well known. Not that I expect the coin to be any great investment, but later it will be in a set with two specially made dimes for the occasion which could be worth getting in early May:

http://www.gold-eagle.com/article/w...-price-rally

The above is the kinder, gentler technical analysis of gold and silver and in this week's comments the US dollar, than some of the comments you will find on this site that is technically oriented toward gold and silver, although more times than not the conclusions seem to be the same.

I have no idea how relevant technical analysis is today with the advent of widespread availability of information and similar interpretation of it by a vast army of technicians. With the advent of ETFs and Algo (robot)-trading, I do know that all trends seem to be extended and extreme and might add that these trends are not necessarily restricted to the down direction for our favorites :). Although lately that seems to be the predominant direction!

@Gothic and few others here are grounded very well. Informed and have great points.

If I have time this evening or tonight I will post Reports/Meetings that will effect the PM Market.

I am here to help the little guy understand why and what is going on with his/her PM's week to week. Charts mean nothing with out first understanding the world around the charts.

This week really only 2 events, the FOMC meeting,Hawkish PM's go down, talk of rate hike PM's go down. As well the Philly Fed Manufacturing Index.

Wednesday, March 18
Time:19:00
FOMC Meeting and Press Conference:

This will be the second FOMC meeting for the year and will take place between March 17th and 18th. This time, the FOMC will also release an update to its economic outlook and FOMC Chair Yellen will hold a press conference. This time all eyes will be towards whether the FOMC will omit the patience term from the statement.

The FOMC will also refer to the recent strong NF payroll report, the deflation pressures, the growth in the U.S. economy and the global economic slowdown; if the FOMC turns a bit more hawkish, this could raise the odds of a rate hike in the near term, which could further bring down gold and silver prices.

Thursday, March 19
Time:15:00
Philly Fed Manufacturing Index:

This monthly survey estimated the growth of the US manufacturing sectors. In the last survey regarding February, the growth rate fell +6.3 in January to +5.2 in February. If the index were to rise, it may positively impact not only U.S. dollar but also U.S equity markets and commodities

"I know the birdies are starting to tweet that sell short thing, but I would not bet on it."

Here is a Story for ya.

Standing with a day trader in a parking lot I say I will bet you I can flip a car under a min. No I am not Superman. The bet is for XXX amount of Fiat. The day trader looks around to see what can be seen in the parking lot and around him. Trader says sure I will bet you can NOT flip a car under a min.

I reach in my pocket and take out a match box car,put it on the ground and flip it. I win.

*Lesson, what can be easy seen is not always what decides the outcome.

Watch you back and have a stack. Have Strong Hands.

Worth reading all of it if you Stack Silver or Gold

*For me this is the Juice of the Article*

The fiat "dollar" is not about to disappear any time soon. It is the antithesis to gold and silver, therefore, gold and silver's biggest obstacle will continue to be in play, at least in the foreseeable future. Right now, the fiat "dollar" remains king of all worthless fiats, mostly by military might, these days. The Big Four fiats are the "dollar," Yen, Euro, and Pound. It has been the intent of the IMF to replace the fiat "dollar," as the world's reserve currency for settling international trade, with SDRs, a basket of international currencies. The Big Four will now have to make room for China's RMB.

*Fat Fiatty getting Boo Boo's,owlchee, please help me*

The RMB is currently the 7th most traded currency in the world. Lodged between the Big Four and the RMB are Canada and Switzerland. All seven country's currencies are likely to comprise the new SDR as a reserve for trade between nations. It is highly unlikely that gold will be an official part of the new SDR structure. That means there are no plans for having a global reset based on PMs. [So say the ruling elites.]

*So many banged up Fiatzzz getting tight in this world, lets make one big Fiatzzz*

There will be an informal IMF board meeting this May to review the SDR basket of currencies. The main issue will be inclusion of the RMB, but that decision will not be formally reviewed until sometime this Fall. No changes can take effect prior to January 2016, based on a required 70 or 85 percent majority vote on the IMF council. With these timing factors, it does not makes sense to expect any major shake-up that would affect the pricing of gold and silver in a major way. No distractions for the status quo.

*O ya May again with May. For 2015 this will be May Day for Fiatzzz. Shame, shame, shame on you Fiatzzz*

Thanks Gothic your a Rockin Roll Star.

Again free to post your info for others and me anytime. I did look at the Dime and Silver Dollar nice. I am not likely to get the set but did like reading over the info.
