I got this to represent Xerxes I in my Notable Figures collection. Achaemenid Empire AR Siglos, 486 - 420 B.C., Lydia, Sardis(?), 15.9mm, 5.35g, 0°, Carradice Type IIIb A/B. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 01/29/2015 5:48 pm I have read in an Australian coin magazine some years ago, that these sigloi can be sequenced according to what the king holds in the right hand: a sceptre, a spear, or a dagger. A bow in all examples is held in the left hand. These coins, for many collectors of ancient coins, are the oldest that they have. Report this Post to the Staff
