Here is a side by side of the two to show the difference in color.

But color of coins can be altered from doing different things to them. So it may/may not be one.

ok how can I tell if it was coated in brass? and why would that be done ? it is 100% lighter then regular cents I don't know how much but it is. it could be that science experiment but how can I tell should I bring it to someone I'm very curious about this one ..

If it were plated over, you might check to see if any copper color is there. If there is then it was altered.

How about a close up of the "C" on CENT area? It looks like something going on there?
