Mine came last week and I really like it. The dual portraits makes me think of the classic series (Alabama comes to mind) and the reverse is well executed.
Nice addition to the modern series!

I received mine today as well. 1 of each. I really like the UNC but the Proof is special! I love it!

Waiting for the proof set but it might be a good idea to buy the UNC while the $5 introductory price ends soon or see if the mint does a young collectors UNC later in thee year. Either way, I'm not expecting the UNC numbers to be high especially with the proof set coming.

Does anyone think there will be a frenzy for the March of Dimes set to be released next Monday (May04)? 75k sounds a lot but with a household limit of 5 this is just 15k orders. Bear in mind the big dealers will ask EVERY employee to order the max... Or am I paranoid? :)

Paranoid, no. Cautious, maybe?
I am going to order one. I only want one, I only need one. I am not a flipper and I would feel bad ordering more than a I need just to make a few bucks off of the person I squeezed out.

You probably will not squeeze anyone out by ordering more than one...some collectors are just either clueless or lazy and prefer just to buy it from a private seller....evidenced by the many sets that have already sold for $99 as presales...
If you just want one then that is fine...but you will not prevent anyone else from getting a set by ordering two

Oh, I know that it would be a symbolic gesture at best. To be clear, I have nothing against those who can and do acquire these for profit. If I bought five I would probably be stuck with them, since t I have never sold a coin (some call it a disease). I prefer to save my money for the other things of interest, like that supposed Eisenhower dollar Coin and Chronicles set, or filling those last five holes in the 7070.

The thing with todays' Mint is that they will have a bunch ready to ship (maybe 30-40k of this set) and then it will go on "backorder" status with the pointless "remind me" button.
It will then return on sale in unannounced small increments over the next month or two and then go "out of stock"...it won't actually show as "sold out" for many months.
So the days of the rapid "sold out" are over...

I think you are right, so I definitely will get my order in immediately and secure a set from that initial group. Notice how I said "will get" and not "will try to get." Taught me well, Yoda did.

Quote: Does anyone think there will be a frenzy for the March of Dimes set to be released next Monday (May04)? I think there has been enough pre-release hype out there in the market to drive a fair number of collectors to the Mint's web site next week for the coins. Collectors, dealers and speculators will all be online looking to secure one or more sets. I'm assuming the Mint's "Waiting Room" feature will be in place and that there will be a wait to order the coins when they initially go on sale. How long of a wait? I couldn't say, but I do believe there will be one. I plan to be online when things open!

I'll be waiting. I marked it on my schedule at work so I'm not out of the office when the clock strikes. The commemorative is a nice looking coin, but the 2 unique dimes throw it over the top for me. Very fun looking set.

Quote: I thought there was no more "waiting room" after the latest Mint website overhaul? You're absolutely correct! I forgot about the upgrades made last year. Thanks for the correction - I don't like to post misinformation!
