Did anyone else notice just how big the 5 was the date for 2015? It almost looks like the wrong font size...

I haven't gotten one yet but this is exactly what I was anticipating after the date on last years nickels.

Well it's big, however the previous '4' in 2014 and '3' in 2013 were also this big.

I expected the last number to be huge too for new nickels. I wonder why they make the date big for nickels (which is already clearly visible), not dimes. Put the "20" on the left and the two last numbers on the right so that people don't have to squint at them to see the date.

slur exe that is a great idea, they should have done that years ago. As to the five ..........huge, looks sort of old fashioned I like it.

was going to say, I thought the 3 was like that too.

slur... good idea, but why dont we just ditch the 20 and do it the way we did in the 1980s, or 80s. at least a hundred years till we have to worry about it again, but will we still have coins by then anyways?

The 2009 nickle is also exagerated with a long tail on the 9.

I can think up some reasons why not to ditch the 20. Okay, some are pretty silly, but it's still logical (according to my logic anyway).

"Spaghetti Hair" queen VICK?

The entire font for the date was changed from a sans-serif font to a serif font in 2009. I've been told by my last ICT teacher that serif fonts are easier to read. Maybe this is the reason?
