@mtuma3: Nice collection! Have you purchased most of the items directly from the Mint or have you been working the secondary market?

Wow, that's quite an impressive collection, mtuma3! So much OGP! The 2019 Native American $1 Coin & Currency Set features an enhanced uncirculated 2019 Native American $1 coin and a Series 2017 $1 FRN with a serial number beginning with 1959. The set is beautiful and the OGP is, in my opinion, a great presentation, although many reported issues with the FRN falling out of place in its holder. Outer sleeve (front and back): Top segment of the tri-fold (exterior and interior): Center segment of the tri-fold (interior and exterior): Bottom segment of the tri-fold (interior and exterior): 2019 Enhanced Uncirculated Native American $1 Coin:

Commens - Quote: @mtuma3: Nice collection! Have you purchased most of the items directly from the Mint or have you been working the secondary market? About 70% of them I got direct from the Mint, the rest I got from dealers or shows. I've been collecting off and on since I was 10 years old, which was about 1965. These are just the ones I have in Govt packaging.

@CollegeBarbers did you have the issue with that set that many of us had where the note was misaligned?

Thanks jbuck!
@CelticKnot, I was very lucky in that I didn't have any problems with a misaligned note, and it's also held its ground so far. When I look at the set I'm very cautious not to drop it, because I'm sure it'll definitely move then...

@CollegeBarbers, good to hear it. If yours did not exhibit the issues straight from the mint, you are probably fine, no matter if you dance a jig with them. Most of the issues we had here were where the closure of the sets caught the notes out of alignment to the window, so much so that the notes themselves were hit by the rubber cement (or whatever) that held the capsule shut. Both of mine were like that and I had to use a XActo knife to gently separate the halves, extract the single, and attempt to get the glue off of the note. I made out ok but should not have had to resort to that.

Wow! I just assumed it was a problem with the note's enclosure being too loose, not that the note was both out of alignment and caught in the adhesive. That's a shame...

Yeah. They actually stopped selling them for a while, perhaps to fix the quality issues so many were having.
