Hello! My name is Willow. I am from South Carolina, USA. I have always collected coins, but never searched for errors until a few years ago. Hoping to learn alot. I've asked random collectors about a few coins before but everyone's opinion was all over the place. Thank you in advance for anyone who helps.

Hay, My name is Ryan Ibrahim, from Indonesia. . After my father passed away, he apparently had antique coins from several countries that you might be interested in. For example : Dutch East Indies 1/2 cent coin in 1945. 1 franc in 1974. 2 drachmi (greek) in 1954. Medio Balboa (panama) in 1979. 10 cents Malaysia in 1973. etc. . what do you think?

Hello, My name is Candi. I live in the United States and right now am living in Texas. I am not sure how to work this site properly, so please don't be alarmed if I have posted in improper areas. I'll learn soon enough. I am not quite a coin collector, but I do find it fascinating how many pass through hands never knowing if something is of value. I like examining then and am learning quite a bit, with a long way to go. I am the level before beginner. I actually collect action figures, but my interest in coins and gems has become a new endeavor. Hello everyone. Peace and Love. -Candi

Hello Coin Community, Newbie from San Diego! I'm a fairly new learner when it comes to the technical terms, but I have been collecting for a number of years. It's only been recent that I have had the time to actually pull out my coins and take stock of what I have. What I've learned so far is that there an awesome whole new world to be learned, and I have so much learning to do from you guys!

I am from Lismore in Australia. The name Lismore comes from Gaelic and means "big garden" and Lismore was a big garden before white settlement.. It was once like a large English country estate under indigenous management but no longer. I have inherited my mother's coin collection which she mostly gathered when she kept the loose change from her trips to many countries. There are about 1,000 coins and all are in a rather battered condition with a great deal of patina. There are a few uncirculated coins and even those have been allowed to handled and were thrown into a box with all the other coins. Mother was clearly a collector who was more interested in having mementos of her travels and much less interested in preserving the value.of the coins. SAP has been good to me letting me know in great detail that the 1817 Turkish 1/4 Altina coin that is in the collection and potentially worth thousands is actually just a fake lucky charm. Most amusing. hillhere

Hello! Finally, I joined after years of looking for help! I have so many coins I've collected over the years from my adult kids and for about 10 years, have researched, watched videos, oh Lordy, you name it, I've researched it! I have uncirculated tons of 1958 penny's from S to D and no mint mark. I'm from IL, about 20 minutes from St. Louis. I've got Mercury dimes (about 35 or so) and thousands of dimes/nickels of all years. Tons of 1964. I need help. I'm 61 and sorry, I'm not building back better. I have about 15 1776-1976 quarters, plus silver quarters. I have a lot of quarters too! I have a 1959 Lincoln Penny with 2 noses, also a 1955 with 2 noses I'm looking at today. Thank you all! Mary Beth
