Where Are You From? A Place To Introduce Yourself

Hi, my name is Melissa. I am from Idaho and have finally decided to start going through the coins my father collected, and this is a completely new topic to me. I don't have anyone that specializes in error coins (one thing he enjoyed looking for) and anyone who buys them want them for the gold or silver. That's why I came to this forum, in hopes of finding help that I can't through research or local dealers.

Hello from GA. Type collector here always finding "a coin I must have". Glad I found a site where I might get some questions answered.

I'm a happily retired girl in the great state of Texas. My dad inspired me to coin collecting years ago. Didn't really go back to it for years till year or so ago. Needless to say I was green as a horse apple! Slowly started collecting Lincoln Wheat Pennies & still working on that. Found the Coin Community site so helpful. Coin questions from the public, with pictures & straight forward answers ... just how I like it. Did ask a few questions, very clear answers, started building frm there. Still learning but expanded to collecting older American coin, coin errors, collecting a few other countries coins & paper money. I've got a bit of obsessiveness going on so coin collecting & the research let's me feed it till my heart's content &

I go by mac and am from the Upstate of South Carolina. I collect cents, quarters, and ASE's. But love all American coins really. Look forward to learning

Greetings from the Panhandle of Florida. Always learning hence "Novice101". When I was 12, I received in change at the candy store on the corner, an Indian Head cent. It was damaged with a gunshot dent in the center. I've collected sporadically ever since. So YES, I collect coins and other means of trade. I started this hobby as a collection for my 2 grandsons. Since COVID, I've noticed on ebay the collections that are surfacing in massive amounts, I surmise, collections handed down from Grandfathers, Dads, Mothers, etc., who fell victim to Covid. You get the picture. I LOVE this hobby. I've learned so much. Now I do it for me! Looking forward to meeting like minded individuals who understand Coin Collecting is much like the game of Chess, Golf, games of integrity. I've finally reached the point of needing consultation with individuals that are of more knowledge in this area than myself.

Hello. I am in Oklahoma. Very new to coin collecting.Very.
I bought $20 worth of uncirculated 2009 lincoln pennies( all Denver all four designs) and read up on them then started looking for error coins...now I look at every coin.
I actually found this site so I could ask about a coin..but I will figure out where to post that question.
