Missing Clad Question - Coin Community Forum

wrongalot Pillar of the Community United States 608 Posts	Posted 10/31/2007 8:36 pm My questin is: Do all missing clad coins look copperish? This quarter appears to be very dull, like it is missing the polished, or anagized? part of the making of a coin. Look at the background behind the word states, all the coin looks like this, and as you can see where there is letter, it is darker and duller, have attempted to clean up the coin, thinking maybe it was dirt or something else, nothing came off, and it shined up alittle bit around the bust and reverse design, but lettering and background did not. The Georgia picture,you can clearly see the copperish layer streak across the coin (it isn't that noticable, it just looks like a dull streak untill you look at it at an angle in the light) Report this Post to the Staff
