Poll Question
You win a coin auction on ebay in the USA for $6.55, you forget to look at the shipping method, but notice it's $3.00 for shipping.

Question: Do you expect tracking?

The poll doesn't seem to work. But in the UK $3 would cover a signed-for delivery but not tracking.

I would expect tracking unless it is internationally shipped.

Yes, I would expect it in CONUS, especially since the $3 covers up to 3 ounces shipping cost plus the fees associated with the transaction. If the seller had over 1000 feedbacks he has been around long enough to know what people and ebay expect. He wouldn't be a happy camper with my feedback if he was an experienced seller. If he was a newbie I may message him and let it slide. There are more and more frauds to deal with and tracking is the sellers only salvation. Only the sellers moving inexpensive items can afford to mail without tracking and eat the frauds which seem to perpetuate themselves. nlp

I can buy 1st class postage through the ebay system for up to 3 ounces for $1.93 including tracking. I put tracking on everything & signature confirmation if the sale price is high enough.

One shouldn't expect tracking unless it is stated in the auction. The $3 shipping would include the cost of stamp, envelope, packing material, and expenses to get to the post office.

I actually hit 'no' Ed. I always assume that any shipping charges $5-$6 or less are not worth questioning. Reason is that whenever I sell a coin, it takes $1 worth of material to package it, $2-$3 worth of gas to drive to the post office and back, and about 30 minutes out of my day.

Wow get over it already! We already hammered this to death in your other post. Just stay off ebay if you don't like the sellers shipping terms.

All I know is that for $3 in Canada you can barely send a letter to your neighbour!

So no! I wouldn't expect anything else other than basic shipping on a $3 charge.

$3 to ship is a VERY reasonable cost...

Hey Pacific, You are the one who can't get over it, you keep posting, just let it go, everything will be alright Put down your axe and stop grinding I've already admitted my fallibility in the other thread.

It's just a poll, it's not like the no's are winning by a blow out

If you don't like it, just stay away

We may need another poll to determine what type of stamp should have been used...

You knew the cost up front. You agreed to it. You got your item. Done deal.

Tracking protects the seller not you. If you didn't get it the seller may have immediately refunded you.

To be completely honest, if the seller shipped using the method specified for the specified amount, it's none of your business what he paid. We started using stealth postage many, many years ago just because of buyers like you.
