biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 03/23/2015 11:47 am The 1926D is affected by Machine Doubling on the date. Hub doubling is what creates a doubled die, they are essentially interchangeable terms. Repunched dates are not possible on any 20th century coin series as the date is part of the hub design. Any "overdate" on a 20th century series coin is actually a Class III doubled die(design hub doubling). Report this Post to the Staff
