chequer Pillar of the Community Canada 4227 Posts	Posted 04/07/2015 8:11 pm I've been getting nickel dollars at face from my LCS to look for varieties and such. Are all the dollars turned into the banks being sent for melting in the ARP? It seems a shame when you see a decent looking AU dollar to cast it aside to be destroyed. I've noticed that the size of the branch or brand doesn't have an impact on policy. Some branches send all of their 50c and "silver" dollars back no matter what. Most people call them silver even if they are not... Other branches detest filling out the paperwork involved and hold them until someone comes in and asks for them or the have a list of names of people looking and give them a call to pick up. I know of one location that has been sitting on several unopened boxes of 2002 50c coins since, yes, you guessed it, 2002. Report this Post to the Staff
