According to the RFD forum, the new series is called "DC Comics Originals". Two coins depict Superman while the other two depict Supergirl. The price for each coin is $54.95 and the mintage is 30,000 per coin.

Why bother with superman anymore ? Kind of milking a dead cow isn't it?

That's what the RCM loves to do. Milk the dead cow

Thank you for info, and thanks, people for pictures.

The design is good, not bad at all.
but this is too much, Mint could be sold out even with this big mintage, but for collection un-necessary at all.

Looks like this is not the end, and RCM in future will continue with other DC characters.

It's kind of confusing since the packaging is showing Wonder Woman and Batman. Do they plan to have four-issue releases of these as well?

Seeing how Supergirl wasn't made by a Canadian, i'd assume that we'll be seeing Batman in the near future.

He's hiding in the back of the class picture on this one....

1/2 oz. Fine Silver Coloured Coin - DC Comics™ Originals: Legacy (2015)

Superman-2015

Won't be long before the RCM piles on with even more super hero coins.

They're really stretching this series very thin. I'm hoping that this increases the 2013 superman series, as these are the only ones I bought. From a financial stand point, the RCM must be profiting but certainly losing credibility by collectors as a mint that truly cares about collectors.

Probably slowly they will issue all of them.

The fans will be happy, collectors also will select someone they like most...no need to buy all. And Canadian connection is clear: RCM (Canada) has licensed agreement with DC.

At recent Halifax RCNA, I asked a mint rep what bugs bunny etc. had to do with Canada? Nothing, at least he was honest, it's just another series for the mint to make more money on a senseless theme for a Canadian coin.

It is strange, I didn't receive any email from my rep about the release of these new superman coins. Anyone else received anything from their rep? Or my rep finally decided to ditch me?

I was about to ask the same question. I did not get any advance notice from my rep nor did the RCM sent me any email regarding this new issue. The coins just showed up on the RCM website and on dealer websites.

So much for the MC program where you are supposed to get first dibs on coins. Why is MC membership even needed when they release the coins to everyone at the same time.

I received an email about the coins.
I have no interest in these coins whatsoever!
