Also as others have said, too battered to be worth keeping anyhow. If you really want to know, or lay your mind to rest, take another 2005 nickel and rotate it clockwise on the obverse about 80 degrees and compare the features. But this is at least the 12th coin you have posted here, that has been beat to heck with a hammer, with various titles asking if we see anything. While we try to cater to the newbie and go out of our way to help and initiate the uninitiated, you must by now understand that after a while it gets tedious. At some point you need to buy a book on mint errors and start to understand what a mint error is and distinguish for yourself, the difference between a genuine mint error and PMD. Thread after thread after thread after thread of "do you see what I see" in these coins of various post mint damage can be very frustrating to people who love to educate (like Dave). You seem to just want to find a needle in a haystack, instead of educating yourself on genuine error coins. Also your insistence on txt speak cn be quite annoying and has no place on an educational forum, ty. I hope you take this as constructive and continue on with us. There are many ... many error collectors here that are willing to help if you just slow down a bit and start aquiring your own base of knowledge. Report this Post to the Staff

We do not mean to belittle a beginner, but the truth is if there is too much damage or wear on a coin it becomes a) extremely hard to tell what might be going on, and b) there is no value which means it's really a fools errand.
