Winnipeg sounds good as a compromise! AG you nailed it . That is the reason we moved here , it was purely for business expansion and little more. International shipping is expensive everywhere. One reason is that the UPU rules state that any country member must deliver another countries mail to its final destination. that is where it gets expensive. Ebays global shipping deal is a joke . Far too cumbersome and expensive.
Speaking of books and sort of getting back to the Charlton topic...........anyone get their new Token book yet ?

To get around ebay's global shipping scam, I usually send a note to the seller before bidding to see if they would consider using regular USPS to significantly lower shipping costs, yet still have tracking. One seller actually gave me free shipping because he did not know it was such a ripoff and thanked me for bringing it to his attention so that he could lower his shipping cost to Canada. I think part of it is a lack of awareness for US sellers.

I am with PacificCoin on the US shipping thing, when the dollar was at par, it was even cheaper to ship stuff to Canada from the US, rather than shipping from Canada to Canada.
