They dropped down to high $39 this morning and I almost pulled the trigger on some more. Unsure how many they have as it only allows me to put about 4 or 500 in my cart. On another board I read they have 900+ left. Unsure how many other dealers have in stock.

Anyone have any more news on the second Privateer? Heard something was going to happen in July but haven't found anything...

Last I heard it sounded like things were being held up due to the recent spike in demand for silver

Virtually all dealers have now increased their price for the Privateer round - despite silver dropping. PM & APMEX appear to be sold out. JM Bullion have the lowest price, but I doubt they will last long. There are still plenty available on the bay, but if the next few in the series are as appealing as the first one there is a slim chance this medal may become numismatic one day...

I asked Provident Joe who posts on another site. I'll post the results.

I placed an order on Provident for the latest Zombuck yesterday and saw that the Privateer was on a "Notify Me" status.

24 hours later, it is now "Discontinued". For me, the Grand Canyon piece doesn't have the same appeal as the Privateer. So I wait for the second Privateer issue to be released.

Provident Metals got this beauty back, it's now carrying a $6.99 per oz premium over spot, while the Grand Canyon's premium is $4.49.

UPDATE from Joe from Provident posted on another site -

Lots of questions regarding the release of P2. Some answers. I consult the mint on some of the designs, quality control, and offer some off the wall solutions to some of the minting issues; I go in and say, "yes; no; I like it; I want it like this; that's too much such and such; move this thing there, turn up the tonnage here, rotate the rotary girders, etc". Sometimes they listen to me and sometimes they tell me to sit down and grab a Pepsi. But ultimately, most of the hard work is done by two awesome dudes at the mint. After we finished the design for the P2 we were super excited that we were ahead of schedule. We got the dies at the end of June or something and minted the first round. And it sucked. Bad. We felt like it didn't translate from the initial sketches to the dies like we hoped it would. Like, at all. So we made some adjustments to see if we could save it. We couldn't; it still sucked. Back to the drawing board. We couldn't properly convey the concept onto the round and even though we spent a ton of money, time, and effort, we weren't going to release something crappy into the market; it's not our thing. We decided on a new concept the next day and we're going to get dies sometime next week. Hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be another egregious error, haha. Right now, it looks awesome and I'm really excited about the prospects of this one!! Hopefully it translates and really shows what we've come to expect in this series. If all goes well, we could be selling them in early August. If not, it's back to the drawing board (but I have HIGH confidence that we have a winner winner chicken dinner!).
TL;DR: We had a design for P2; it sucked so we scrapped it and designed something completely new; we hope to offer it to the market in early August.
