LIB looks weak, so I'm thinking affected by grease. Can you get clearer pictures?

Can we get pics of whole obverse please? My theory is either grease or over polishing.

The die was over polished. The devices are reduced in size. Usually if it was a Struck Through Grease issue, the overall size would be there, but missing the top (thinner) part of the devices. Thus I feel it is from an over polished die.

I agree with over polished die/worn die. I see more than a few of them.

If you look closely it almost seems the entire field is filleted along a line between the shoulder and midway between LIB and IN.
