Thanks, jbuck, me too.

I don't intend to sell but it's nice to know what you've got. The top few "buy it now" listings for non-sealed-boxes on ebay are between $95-$130.

Not really, they have to exchange your items OR give you a FULL refund.
What's the harm in trying? I really don't want to pay 60% more for a set if I don't have to.

Don't be such a downer Dude....

Well...I was referring to the desire to get a replacement set in exchange for the returned set. Obviously they will give you your money back if sold out BUT you won't have a set.

It just made more sense to me, since they are still available, to just order a new set and return the other one for credit. That way you WILL get a set AND your money back for the returned one. But...it was only a suggestion and how I have done it with limited mintage sets for many years.

For example, today I bought an NGC slabbed 2001 Sacagawea dollar in Proof-69 condition on ebay for $5.75 delivered. Certainly someone lost money on it and it wasn't me or the grading service.

Well...there are 3.18 MILLION 2001 SAC proofs out there so having that coin graded is/was quite ridiculous...and not even in the same conversation with coins in the 50-100k range

I saw a 2001 NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo SAC go for $22.50 a couple of weeks ago.

Bulk submitters do get a significant discount on grading fees but an issue like that SAC is a loser right from the get go

Advert in the mail today with PHOTOS of PCGS MS and Proof First Strike labels on slabbed MOD dollars. So the folks that were saying the Big Guys already had these in hand were right!

Or they know someone who can use photoshop.

Got my 3 sets yesterday, very happy with them...have to finish looking thme over but so far on the obverses only found one small scratch above the ear on the P dime-have a 4th one on back order, not too concerned about the first strike label so when I get around to it I will probably send my best set in for grading, keep another ungraded set and watch the prices on ebay to see if I want to sell the other 2 or when-if I think I have two 70 sets tho I may just have to send both in

If you do submit them then just send in the dimes since the dollar will not get a "FDR Set" label anyway

I'm soooo mad they were sold out of the first run by the time I tried to order on the 4'th (early evening).... Sooooo mad! I've wanted this set more than the 2014 silver Kennedy set! I'm impatient and don't particurally want to wait till at least Aug to receive the set.... I'd grab a set from ebay if I could find one with a "slight" markup in price.... I'm just a little worried the sets on there are "culled" sets, in other words the less than stellar sets? Do they have "unopened" boxes on there? I'm not sure how they come from the mint or if possible to tamper with them?

I know a few people on here are selling sets on ebay right now... I've seen a few people I follow on there with sets listed.... So.... Lol.... If anyone bought multiple sets and has some unopened to get rid of.... And arnt asking $100 for them, lol... send me a PM! I don't mind paying a slight markup to someone for helping me out... But I'm not paying $100 for a $61 + shipping set, lol. I could also trade.... Other coins, modern or classic..... Or silver... Junk, not.... Whatever... A mix of $ and coins/silver.... I just want an unopened set, lol. In fact.... If someone has an unopened set of the Kennedy silvers I'd be interested in that as well...

Your not going to find one with a slight markup in price, your better off placing an order with the mint and waiting three months to get it. Once sellout happens these things will never go for $61 again.

The sets are going for around $100...that is the markup right now

Not wanting to pay that much won't lower the price. Order from the Mint
