Quote: When I had to return my 2014 Kennedy silver set I told them I wanted a replacement and they said I had to place a whole new order and that they did not do exchanges, they only gave refunds and it was my responsibility to reorder a replacement (and pay shipping again of course) Same experience for me also. Quote: I talked to 2 people there for about 45 min's and they assured me that seeing it's a replacement there was no need to reorder I got a label sent to me when I returned my U.S. Marshal set. I was on the phone with the rep and was told I would have to reorder to get my replacement since they don't do exchanges. Maybe they found it to be cheaper to update their procedures instead of removing that option from the form they send with the product. I hope for the best for you Dar

So I have to say you guy's had me worried. So I called back again and yes, after they switched their billing system last Oct you did have to re-order and repay for that order. They have now changed that back to that if you are EXCHANGING for the exact same items you no longer have to re-order. They are also still upgradeing their ordering and shipping policies to be more like they were in the past. I'm glad you guy's made me worry. Now I know and so do you. This should make things Much easier for everyone. Thanks!

I just got off the phone with customer service regarding the two sets I'm returning. They're sending me a prepaid shipping label. The guy I spoke with had no clue if I would be able to get two more sets if they have a sell out. He said that he honestly doesn't know how that works. It was not confidence inspiring at all. So, I just used other means to order two more sets to replace the two that I'm returning. All this would be much easier and less expensive if they're just check the quality of the coins after they're packaged.

Advert in the mail today with PHOTOS of PCGS MS and Proof First Strike labels on slabbed MOD dollars. So the folks that were saying the Big Guys already had these in hand were right!

It makes MUCH more sense to return for refund and make an immediate new order before it is toast...

So what is the overall recommendation on if it's worth sending a set in for grading or not? I have never had a coin graded before but I know one's with a high grade (MS67+?) can be worth a lot. I assume since these are proof coins they would grade high so one would really have to inspect the dime before sending it in to ensure it is basically perfect. Are you just looking for "full bands" (the thin line inbetween the horizontal bars on the torch)? Where is the best reference for grading a dime? Would it be worth it to send in one of the W dimes or would you just send in the whole set? Thanks!

Got 5 sets today and was very happy. Found a scratch on a West Point but that set is staying with me. The Mint did a good job on this one.

I really don't want to pay 60% more for a set if I don't have to. Don't be such a downer Dude....

Foxwoods man ... Atlas642
Thanks for the information on sales figures.
I did go to the mint web site. If I am seeing the same as you are.
The data there has date of May 3rd. An no numbers for product DM5.
So I am guessing they will post the information there next Tuesday.
Also looked at the coinnews.net article.
Again ... thanks for the information

I got my set today! Looks great. No problems with the coins that I see. The only thing that threw me off was how small the holder is, but that is probably from the shock of how big the JFK holder is.

Odds are with the modern stuff that you'd be wasting your money. For example, today I bought an NGC slabbed 2001 Sacagawea dollar in Proof-69 condition on ebay for $5.75 delivered. Certainly someone lost money on it and it wasn't me or the grading service.
