Just got my last three sets ordered right before the original "currently unavailable" went up... Everything looks great and the RP's will definitely be going to NGC by the end of next week...waiting on a few other things to declare themselves first...

I received by back-ordered MOD set today. It looks like it was someone else's turd. Both dimes are impaired and the air-tites have fractures along the edges. I did look to see if the previous owner left a note or something, but no such luck. Very disappointing and by far the worst item I have received from the Mint. I'm sending it back, no doubt about that.

Ouch. I really, really like my set and am glad I got it. I hate that you got a raw deal.

I still think that it's amazing that they don't have someone visually inspect the coins as they're packaging them. I ordered a proof Britannia off of The Royal Mint's website. When I was inspecting the coin, I noticed that there was a small round QC sticker with a number on it. They're trying to hold individuals accountable for inspections. The least the US Mint could do is put a pair of eyes on the coins.

I will be sending in only some of the best RP coins out of all my set. $20 investment per coin for a potential return of $100 for a PF70.

I will be doing the same but don't forget these will NOT be First Strike or Early Release eligible. I haven't seen what the market price for non-FS/ER is

Once the last of the backorders have shipped, the supply in the market will slowly be whittled away and the prices will rise again. The same thing happened with the 2014 coin and chronicles set.

Quote: The same thing happened with the 2014 coin and chronicles set. The 2014 FDR C & C set is still available and actually selling for less than the present Mint price on ebay

Maybe meant to say the Teddy C&C set?

Or perhaps Xavier meant to say the 2014 Coin and Currency Set with the enhanced uncirculated Native American dollar.

Ah, yes, that as well. Actually, probably more likely than the Teddy C&C.

Sorry for that typo, I did indeed mean the Coin and Currency set with the enhanced sac. When those Sac sets came out, they spiked in price to around $50, then crashed down to like $30 - $35, and now are back up to near $50 again.

Anyone dare use their RP dime as a pocket piece to go for the lowball record? Even beat and worn it would still be distinguishable as a RP because of the date and mintmark and silver composition. I would be game if the dime wasn't so small. I misplaced my 1964 one weekend when I threw my pocket pieces on the table when I got home one Friday after workd and spent all weekend looking for it. Turns out it was sitting on my desk at work all weekend the whole time
