OK, So I was unaware that PCGS would still try to stick me with a $10 handling fee and a $22.95 S/H fee along with the $12 reholder fee even though I am submitting a bunch of other stuff with it. Should I just crack it out and submit it raw and take the gamble for a 66?

Yes, the standard fees and two-way shipping expenses on all orders can add up. That's why it rarely makes sense to submit just one or two coins unless they are fairly expensive pieces (or you purchased them well below their market value).

It sounds like you plan to submit multiple coins, so at least the S/H fee for your submission will be spread over multiple coins.

Personally, I would not crack your coin out and submit it raw. Even if it were to come back with a MS-66 grade (a somewhat unlikely outcome considering that CAC agreed with the original PCGS grade), the selling price differential between a 65 and 66 would largely (if not completely) be swallowed up by the grading fee which is much more than the $12 re-holder fee. Just my thoughts...

If the total fee cost is $44, it is probably not justified to get it re slabbed.
If you don't intend to sell it, just put it in a ex British Royal Mint Half Crown acrylic screw capsule.

My local coin store sells these for 50c.

Well I ended up getting a PCGS membership so I could send in some of my March of Dimes proof and reverse proof Roosevelt's. Well as a by-product for their membership you get 4 free grading vouchers. So I decided to send this in and here it is...........Out of all 4 I sent in this is the only one that I am happy with

Well done ... PCGS MS66 is a lovey grade indeed.

I would NOT re-submit for the CAC green beanie.
