I probably paid too much on the 1852 but the strike had me intrigued.

They both look around VF-30 to me.

1852 looks like N-1 vf 20 to 25ish. R-1 1848 could be N-26 which would be R-5 in Grellmans book. Might be down to R4 by now. vf 20 to 25 also imho.

Late die state on the 1852, probably net grades down to F12 or so. I have one just like it

F15 on the 1848.
