My dad went to the bank and took some pics of a quarter eagle in the safe box. A grade and value would be nice

It looks to have VF Detail and has been harshly cleaned and damaged. As is there's not much value, if any, above melt. Melt is about $150 right now.

It's basically gold value. Any numismatic value died with the severe damage and cleaning.

The O mintmark would make even a ex-jewlery XF worth more than melt. But a badly damaged VF like this would still be worth obly melt.

I am going to venture counterfeit because to the left of her head there seems to be digs that reveal a dark copper color. Seems like it is gold plated copper. The strike is also fuzzy.

Badly damaged, have to agree with the others that it is worth only its weight in gold.
