Friends Welcome I know that the 1916 DDO has been found, and is very desirable to collectors. That, even with dates rubbed out, I heard from sources that it has sold for some $400-800.00 on auctions in low grade.

I had brought a bag of Nickels not long ago.And I examined a 1916 amongest them. I took several pic and the reverse is showing some type of doubling.

The reason for my Post is to possibly get a strong vote to send in for grading or not to NGC.

Another question is that someone told me that companys like NGC dont just put DDO or DDR on a coin just becuase it is.That, it has to be in refrence manual or something already discoverd. Is this correct for NGC?

The coin also seems to show a 5 behind the 6 ,like a date Error.

If its a DDR or DDO in One.It would be a NEW discovery.
My Question is how do I get it Graded by who or sumbit to verify etc.

I just compared my images to a site that showed closeups of DDRs of Nickels and its a very close match. The image was from a site called Worthpoint.

Please, I am hoping someone who has good knowledge of DDR of the old nickel would respond to this post.It would be monumental achievement to find a DDR of that era.

I am giving a full pic of the coin and then a CLOSEUP of that particular shoot view. The 9th and 11th pic are closeups of the picture right above it.

The Last 2 images are the examples of 1935s DDR from site called Worthpoint.

God Bless
Beck.

Friends, If you see a chance of it being a DDR and you need more pictures via more expensive camera, please let me know.

There is no doubled die listing for a 1916 S Buffalo nickel, at least at Wexlers website witch is complete. Don't send it in, I dont see any doubling.

The 4th pic down looks like a camera error. I might possibly see doubling but I am unsure. We would need LARGE clearer pics.

Large Clear Pic...Ok, as I get some equipment or help from someone with a microscope camera.
Thanks for your advise.
And that Anacs is my better bet.

New here, and to coins in general, but not to photography. Get an Ollo lens for your cell phone, which has a macro ability. This means taking pictures of tiny objects on your cell phone is very easy and convenient.
