Received my 5 sets today. To the naked eye, they look nice. Using a 10x loupe all the dollars had some type of imperfection. The best one has just a narrow, short band of very slightly darker color, not really noticeable with the naked eye. The worst one, Truman looks like he has the measles. Tiny spots all over his face. I'm still happy I was able to get them. I'll probably keep two and sell/trade the rest.

I wouldn't call a die crack and error but rather a cool die wear imperfection.... But others might disagree....
I wouldn't mind getting one....

I am dying to see the market develop for the graded $1's....no reason not to have some 70's in there since RP's usually do OK....but if 69's get over $100 that would be great.....
Still have no answers on grading the medals ..pro or con...not my usual bag
edited to add: do NOT plan on the HH limit continuing to be at 5....it will most likely be decreased for the 1st week anyway

@Foxwoods - I opened the box. I just wasn't in any hurry at the time. The coins all look real nice. No complaints here.

Quote:Quote: If the medal can be purchased separately, then you need OGP to get C&C designation. Yes but it can't be purchased separately....that is the point Correct. The bronze version was available previously. The silver medals are exclusive to these sets.

I received my five sets today. All look great. In fact, the only imperfection I can find is a very tiny spot on the obverse a the Truman dollar. I'm very pleased.

Does anyone know what the average number of sets per order was? I'm thinking it's going to be pretty close to 5.
