Thad, like that second 25-D - neat example of a late die state uncirculated coin.

Quote: Ken, was your 25 S cleaned? I don't believe so - it has some luster still - weaker strike and difficult to photograph. I will try to take some more shots with different lighting...

p.s. if you click on the 7100 link at the bottom of my post, I think the smaller image in context with the rest of the coins shows the overall look of the coin better.

If it has luster still then I guess it was just a mushy strike/die.

Ok, here are a few more pictures of the 25-S. First two are outside, cloud filtered sunlight: Wow - terrible strike in this lighting - coin looks terrible overall in this picture The reverse is quite a bit better Tried to better show the luster here - indoors, Halogen lighting Wish the obverse matched the reverse

So I am gonna step back a second to post my most recent purchase. I want to thank BadThad for motivating me to purchase this beautiful 1913 cent. My fiancee would probably like to blame BadThad for motivating me to purchase this beautiful 1913 cent. I know it's a bit past 1913, but I am hoping no one will mind me sharing this newest upgrade to my Lincoln Cent set.

Too bad about the scratch on the D. The P is amazing though.

Just in case you're wondering, the oldest wheat I have is a 1926 plain that someone dropped to watch me pick it up, but it's so dirty, it looks like nothing compared to the others that are already up here. Probably in VG condition or less.

That 1913 is a real beauty skyshark. Might as well get your fiance used to life as a coin collector spouse. My wife has gotten used to various coins laying around the house and even looks out for copper Lincolns, older Jeffersons and silver for me!
p.s. Also like the look of that 26-P Coach Don!
