Those are interesting.
This thread is interesting. Glad you started it EconBrony!
That square token is intriguing. I'm wondering if it isn't a tax token or something other than a transit token.

@ Buddy Indeed it is an interesting thread! Your are also correct on the 1 1/2 token, it is a sale tax token. http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces41896.html I have one other type of tax token Ill be posting as well. Thats why I added the government tokens on to the thread title :) Nice railroad token! So many of the railroad tokens have nice designs. They have dual collect-ability of sorts too because railroad hobbyist like to collect them as well. My brother in law is into trains and loves those tokens. He buys them whenever he runs into them.

The tokens I've posted are really my husband's tokens. He's been working in the railroad industry (he designs embedded controls) for ....uh...well almost 20 years. So he likes coins with trains. When he saw these, he just grabbed them up. We don't have a lot of them. And he hasn't made a point of searching for more. But I keep an eye out for them at shows.

Here are 45 different 20 pfennig aluminum streetcar tokens from Nurnberg Furth,Germany, issued in the 20's. The last one shows their common reverse.
