Buddy----I think more of these were saved as souvenirs than ever used for fares. They are not particularly scarce, but are very popular. They are often available as singles on ebay averaging $3-$5 ea.

You were busy Circus! Nice tokens :) Very nice variety too, I especially like the design of the Seattle Transit token. Thanks for sharing :)

@ Buddy
I'm actually quite surprised how few transit tokens I run into at the antique show I frequent. I have yet to run into them. I usually have to buy transit tokens online if I want to add to the collection. Neither of the local coin shops near me deal in them as well. Where have you run into them when you do?

Quote: Where have you run into them when you do? The one LCS has some in his 50% off bin. he also has some higher dollar ones in his cases he buys them when a collection comes in I think. The other one has them in 2x2's and recently bought a bagful I went through them and there were a lot of multiple items. I am one of the people they have that only does tokens. Other than a few that do the high dollar CWT. The other place I get them is in bulk trades on the forums.

EconBrony - My husband and I belong to a coin club and I think that Kevin bought most of his tokens from one or two other members. One of those guys had a big notebook full of them.
I think I picked up a couple at our local coin shop when I was on a token buying spree -- I was shopping for a Secret Santa gift for another club member.
I never really considered collecting tokens of any sort -- but some of them are really cool so who knows?

This one looks a lot like the Wash. D.C. that was posted earlier but it IS different. And that's it for me. The rest of our little collection are either duplicates of tokens already posted and (sigh) we have duplicates of our own.
