Between the fall of the Canadian Dollar and shipping costs I would have to snag these at about $15 to be happy but when I seen this in my "Are you interested" list on ebay I thought maybe some of the American members here may be interested. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/50-Indianapo...371399457610Four days left but this could be a nice little Indianapolis set at a dissent price.

Wow! That is the first parking token I've ever seen. Amazing... I guess every company made their own token to work in their own machine. Or maybe the prices could change without having to change anything in the machines...?

Portsmouth Va. Streetcar Fare Token, ca 1944 1 3/8 in. 3.5 g Saw the updated version back a ways, wondered if the specs had changed, or just the pattern?

MoeTate there were 8 tokens issued for Portsmouth VA, starting in 1920's or earlier up to the late 1940's. Yours is a 23 mm token from 1945 and made of steel. With same obverse and reverse.
The following years saw a change to PORTSMOUTH TRANSIT COMPANY P on the obverse and ONE FARE PORTSMOUTH VA P on the reverse. There were 2 types, one made from brass in 1945 and one made from white metal in 1948. Size remained the same as previously (23 mm)

The Seattle transit is a nice one. I've got one of those OPA points too that I got from my grandmother. Its been a while since I've visited, so I've made some acquisitions and I'll post a couple. These aren't the most interesting ones I picked up of the recent handful of tokens I got, but they're probably the ones I was looking for the most. A couple of years back I had an internship with the NY/NJ Port Authority, at their division called PATH. PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation) began over 100 years ago as the private Hudson & Manhattan Railroad, which built the first tunnels under the Hudson River to run trains from Newark, Jersey City and Hoboken NJ into NYC. With competition from bridges and tunnels built by the Port Authority, the railroad went bankrupt. With public pressure though the Port Authority took over the railroad in the early 1960's (and would soon use the land of its lower Manhattan terminal to build the World Trade Center). With that story in mind I'm happy to now have a token from both the H&M and PATH. H&M is same on both sides.

The Fonda, Johnstown and Gloversville Railroad is notable for being one of the few railroads to order a type of streamlined passenger car known as a Bullet. The Great Depression and competition from automobiles and buses meant few Bullets were sold, and by 1938 the FJ&G had discontinued passenger service.

Another nice addition to our list!
It's nice that a token was rescued from that rail. They could have all been lost or destroyed since it wasn't in operation for very long.
