cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 07/17/2015 8:44 pm I can see part of the "IN" from the motto, the rest is out of the photo. I wanted to see the whole obverse side of the coin at once, not just Lincolns face and the date. From what I can see so far, it is most likely just a damaged coin. Did you clean it with something or is the color just off? Report this Post to the Staff

Looks like the mint had to polish heavily to remove a clash (this is the jagged marks you are seeing on the obverse of the coin, see image).
