I want to thank the CCF community for putting up with me for 500 posts now. I started collection just 2 years ago and I believe I have learned quite a bit by lurking and asking questions. I still have quite a way to go, my philosophy is never stop asking questions or researching what interests you. Knowledge is a great tool that comes with time.
I don't believe I have ever shared my first coin purchase, but the wife and I went to a local auction and I saw this 1746 New York penny come up. I didn't know anything about it other than it was pre-colonial New York which I have a passion for. As I researched the coin I learned more about other coins and then became hooked.
