$59 for shipping? The shipping charges are clearly stated in his auction.

hard thread really. I've picked from sellers who had great coins and also the same sellers had altered coins. I think the bay is flooded with all sorts of things and the greatest protection is knowledge and experience and the ability to send it back 14day.

I want to report my negative experience with ebay bidder ccrogers210. I put up a Walking Lib half with an opening bid of $17. ccrogers and another bidder called jackpotger got into an apparent bidding war and the coin closed at $75, much higher than I expected. ccrogers never paid, never responded to my emails and invoice, and apparently never responded to the "unpaid item" report I filed with ebay. I also send a "second chance" offer to jackpotger who likewise never responded.

I don't know who these people are but I put them on my excluded bidder list. I have since relisted the Walker and it sold at its original opening bid of $17. That buyer paid promptly!

Seller: Bob Frye, "slqmaven" from Quakertown, PA.

Do NOT send this guy checks, use PayPal only because he will rip you off if you send him a check that he cashes. Bob must have selective memory issues because when you inquire where your wins are, he'll use all manner of excuses, from damage from Superstorm Sandy to a bad back, in the hospital, broke up with the girlfriend, etc. This first happened in 2011, gave him a chance to fix things and resolve issues, which he eventually did. Gave him a try again in late 2012, this time nothing. He runs hundreds of modern US every week so I haven't figured out what the issue is. I might just be his designated whipping boy...

Is there is a list of all the sellers to avoid or we have to go page by page?

Well, you could compile a list from this topic and post it.
Many of us would be very thankful.

I compiled a list a couple of years ago but haven't updated it. I did find that you only need to go back about a year in the list as most of the bad apples were NARU'ed by ebay or have changed their username to generate a new feedback profile without the neutrals and negatives.

Coincidentally I ended up winning 2-3 auctions from him on a modern project I'm working on without noticing this quoted post. I had none of those above issues. Seemed like a normal seller to me at the time. The only thing though is that I won multiple auctions but on my end I failed to notice that I won them from the same seller, so I didn't approach him to combine shipping. Neither on his end did he see this either and simply shipped me individual packages, 2 I received one day and the third the next day. I can't expect him to catch that; it's my fault, but it would have been nice if he did.

Here's the comprehensive list from the start of this thread in 2005 to 4/16/2014. ebay USERID is listed first, alphabetically, followed by date posted and page number where it can be found. The last column is a listing of reasons codes(look to bottom for key to codes). If no reason was given, it is coded "not specified". I listed these only for completeness and I would not put much faith in a "Not specified" entry. Folks if you have a beef with a seller, list the reasons why!

I'd like to report my negative experience with collectibles-picker. This seller doctors photos. Please see my recent purchase here: https://goccf.com/t/175878

Also, review some of the "neutral" feedback. Many have the same problems. Seller disputes every charge. Some he claims are just newbies. he claimed I had buyer's remorse. Of course I do; I got a horribly cleaned coin!

I don't know if this matters but his address is in Canada and he mails from the US. Does not package well either: plain white envelope with stock paper "protecting" the coin.

I tried corresponding but he is very aggressive: terrible experience! I gave up and filed a case: we'll see. But be warned- stay away!
