OK, I found the seller, certifiedcoinsellers. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1Q...dcoinsellersHe doesn't use "MCI" in the text which is why an advanced search wouldn't locate his auctions. It appears she's using the term "MS" as a designator for business strike (as opposed to proof) rather than Mint State. I know PCGS uses MS in this manner in its submission forms and population reports. I don't know if any other TPG uses it in a similar manner; I know ANACS does not. It's too confusing. However, I would be cautious about putting her in this "Discouraged Seller" since her feedback isn't particularly bad. At least not yet. Wait until some of her buyers of her slabbed coins start giving her feedback. Maybe put her on a "watch list". Her website http://www.mcigrading.com/ is under construction and is essentially a blank page. The domain is registered to a woman in Hemdon, VA. This indicates another one-person slabber. Fred

I agree that just because you do not agree with the grade doesn't mean it is a bad seller. I dont agree with some of the PCGS/NGC/ANACs grades but I dont hold it against the seller of the coin, they showed a picture of the coin, I saw it, I agreed that I liked the coin and it was worth x amount so I paid that much for it. Now about howardsdirect, I have bought coins from him many times and usually each time I did I have posted pics of the coin on various websites to get a grade opinion and each time I did the grade that everyone gave pretty much coinsided with the grade on the slab. Do I think all his coins are graded correctly, "No" but please see statement about the top 3 above. A discouraged seller to me is someone that sells stuff and you never receive anything at all or something totally different and they refuse to make it right (neither has ever been the case with howardsdirect)

Danger Will Robinson Danger !!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stay away from these sellers. They are the same but use different names all out of Jackson or Ridgeway Mississippi twomenandaloop Thursdaynightdollars coinadventures coinlots uscoinlots coinsat10 Their hallmark is selling lots with the majority if not all being ANI slabs. ANI is based in Mississippi so my guess is they are ANI. Most of their feedback is from beginning ebay buyers and their feedback is almost always PRIVATE. very dangerous sign. BEWARE

I suggest steering clear of seller straitlegs. He sent the wrong coin and only partially refunded my purchase when I returned it. Along the way, he managed to be slow, unresponsive, and ultimately disrespectful. My side of the story is here: https://goccf.com/t/9689

Has anyone in Australia had any dealings with 'cadici123'. He sells pre- and decimal coins. He overgrades like it was going out of fashion, is really abusive in his emails, wont refund or compromise and claims the post office is at fault for the many non deliveries. Ceverat emptor.
'Poor grammar.'

quote: I bought a coin from this guy. But it was an NGC MS64 Morgan dollar. I gave him negative feedback but I'm in the minority unfortunately.

The seller, thursdaynightdollars has been cited at least a couple times in this topic. Any seller who keeps his/her bidders "private" is suspect IMNSHO. It's not the percentage of the feedback; it's the numbers and quality (details) of the negative feedbacks.

Does that mean all of ThursdayNightDollar's positive feedback is phony. If that's the case the phony just gave me my first negative feedback just for giving him negative feedback. He has so much positive feedback why should he care about another negative feedback?

It doesn't mean that all his positive feedback is phony; it just means that it's a gamble whether you will be satisfied with a purchase from him or not. As you've seen, the seller doesn't seem to be overly concerned with proper representation of his coins.
In your case, he probably didn't see why there would be a diffence between PCGS or NGC. I don't know that it was necessarily intended misrepresentation. Personally, I think the guy doesn't really know all that much about coins in the first place but thinks he does. It is also possible that he did this so that he could get PCGS money for an NGC slab.
One way or another, I'm sure that some people have had satisfactory transactions with him. There were probably even some who didn't care that they received an NGC coin instead of a PCGS coin. If his buyers are uninformed, they wouldn't necessarily know if they got a bad deal or not.

Beware of tycoin on ebay. He only runs repros, puts them in the genuine categories, and doesn't list his titles with copy or reproduction in them. Basically, he's as misleading as they get. He only runs his auctions for a very short time, obviously hoping that ebay won't catch him. Anyone having any time, please report this guy's listings as miscategorized. Maybe we can get him banned.

I just reported a bunch of his auctions. However, most appear to be one-day listings so although I picked those with the longest time remaining, I doubt ebay will get to them in time. Fortunately, none that I saw yet have any bids... at least for now.

Hi, I'd like to add three ebay sellers I won't buy from in the order of how offensive they are (in my opinion, of course): 1.) klondike95 -- This guy is a crook. I have a very long story about how he lied and lied and lied to me while getting out of sending me a coin that I purchased through the "Buy It Now" option. I won't bore you with it. Just last week he listed an obviously counterfeit 1828 half dollar as genuine. Either he knew it was a fake or he didn't know. Either way, he's a first-class well-I-won't-say-it-in-polite company. 2.) hsturn -- always sells suspiciously uniform-looking unslabbed silver coins as "high grade," "MS-63+++" and the typical sucker-fish bait passing as brilliant marketing. I contacted him last week to compliment him on how uniformly satiny his silver coins look and asked what he dipped them in to make it so that he never sold a single toned or even slightly dark-surfaced silver coin. I also wonder why, if these coins are such high grade he doesn't have them slabbed by a top grading company in order to get top dollar for them. He told me that he doesn't do a thing to his coins, but that the shiny ones sell best on ebay so that's what he lists. Puh-lease. If anyone else cares to look at his listings and can put together a convincing argument as to why hsturn's coins all really naturally look that way, then I will take him off my list. 3.) ernie -- I've never bought anything from this guy. I am boycotting ernie until he stops overgrading his coins. I also won't consider joining the ANA until ernie stops overgrading his coins, as ernie claims to be an ANA member. If I were in charge of the ANA I would send ernie a copy of Photograde and ask him to stick to it or get out. But that's just me. Also I contact a lot of buyers of cast counterfeit Lafayette dollars, Seated Liberty dollars, 8 reales, etc. (from China mostly), to let them know what they just purchased. Sometime ebay won't let me contact them which really ticks me off since ebay doesn't do much proactively to stop the practice. Just my 3 cent nickel's worth.

When you go to "Read Feedback Comments," is there a fast way to only see the negative comments without having to scan through all the pages?
