Last time I looked the Teddy Roosevelt C & C set was selling for slightly more than the Truman and Ike. It would be the only one I don't have..... Just my luck

I bought three of the Theodore Roosevelt Coin and Chronicles Set from the mint and stuck them in a drawer at my parents'home. I tried giving one to my brother for Christmas, but in his opinion, none of the sets had silver medals better than an MS-68 (so he didn't take one:( I had tentatively planned to donate these three to the YN auction at Summer Seminar, but I didn't end up going this year. I had no idea that these sets were worth more than about issue price that I paid. Heck, I assumed that they had probably depreciated in value due to the (at the time at least) lukewarm at best level of sales. Granted mine can't fetch the $150 to $200 per set I see on ebay (since as I mentioned, they probably wouldn't qualify for MS-69 or better). Anyway, the point of my story is that this forum is a great resource for collectors; it sure helps keep me informed.

These will sell out surely, but I say don't be looking for huge profits.. Roughly a little over 8000 people got an Ike set, even less for Truman who had a 5 HH limit... 25000 + people will get their hands on this set.. Truman is selling well because a lot of collectors, completist missed it with the profiteers scooping up 5 sets to flip..

I'm excited for the Kennedy set, but not looking forward to having heart issues as the website falters.

As for the Teddy Roosevelt set, I was surprised to see the high prices. Guess I got lucky when I bought mine for around $50 to $60 a few months ago. Just need the Marshall and Lincoln sets to catch up.

The website will be fine, so take your time next week. No need to be on right at noon. Have some lunch first or take in a ball game.

Haha!

I just heard the Mint is moving the release to the 17th. Guess you'll have to buy yours then! (joking, of course)

17th? No, they're all wrong, it's the 18th.

No, it's still the 15th, but they've moved the release time to 5 PM.
