I bought one of these awhile back as an experiment for $17.00 and got $100.00 for it. now this one may be to strong on the reverse to be a weak d but compare to the next box where I put the bu details weak d pcgs that sold for $395.00. I think my coin is stronger but with a weaker d

Looks like a normal 22-D. There are 4 die pairs recognized for the weak/no d variety, and all the weak d's have a mushy, VLDS appearance. Your reverse is much too strong.

I just couldn't get past the weakness of the d. Once in my hand I'll be able to look for other markers

That looks like xf details to my immature lincoln eye... You can't even see the lines on the wheat unless thats maybe an artifact of a deteriorated die?

The reverse weakness is the biggest marker for all the weak d die pairs, as they used old reverse dies on them. I can say with as close to 100% confidence as possible thats a normal 22-D

Well then, that would explain it. Weak d's have weak reverses; brain update complete

But aren't you contradicting yourself though?

Just wanted to post a real, raw weak D so you can compare. There is but a tiny little nub where the D goes, the main picture was carefully taken to be able to show the D. In hand, you can only see that tiny nub. Also, notice the weakness in TRUST and in the reverse wheats.

I thought you were saying that it has the typical reverse of a weak d but then said it was a regular d
