Any guesses on the sellout time? I think the JFK experience has scared away at least half the flippers.

My guess... 45 actual minutes, which translates to "instantaneously" to the guy selling coins on HSN.

I think 20,000 will sell in the first hour and the rest will take 3 days.

Remember guys. Nobody "knew" about truman. No brother mother friends and it went in 15mins. I'm sticking with sub 30 mins for lbj. It's still gonna be a bloodbath.

As long as online coin shops are doing the "Make a quick $50" type of offer, I give it under an hour. If Kennedy indicated that about 40,000 of something popular will go in an hour, than anything under that mintage should be sold out the first day.

I revise my estimate. One hour, tops.

We are running with the assumption that a lot of people were burned by Kennedy. With that comes the assumption that people will have learned their lesson and avoid the LBJ.

"Everyone is thinking LBJ will be a dud like Kennedy!"

Not so fast, my shiny metal friends! The real opportunists could be working to corner this market and catch the collecting community off guard.

"What? It sold out? Now I need to find one! $500 for a raw set? Are you kidding me?"

I am certain these thoughts have run through more heads than mine. Those who believed LBJ would be a dud are now second guessing and are planning to get in at noon.

A bloodbath? Maybe not, but there will be some fisticuffs.

Enjoy your lunch (not this coming but) next Tuesday.

It's on the calendar! I'm trying to decide if I'll bundle some other purchases. Yeah, probably. :)

I plan on ordering 2 of the Johnson C&C sets next week. I missed ordering the Truman set due to my job getting in the way. I was able to pick up a Eisenhower set on the first day. The Kennedy set I was going to pass on, but after the third day and the set was still available, so I went a head pulled the trigger and bought 1 set.

Only 2 days to go guys! I'm gettin the tingles again. Probably because kennedy was such a letdown that it seems like 2 months have passed since anything good lol. I bet they're gonna ride Regan for all he's worth with a kennedy-esque 50k so this is probably gonna be the last RP fight in the mints underestimation debacle. I hope all of us get all we go for and it's as easy as truman lol
