I recently purchased a small lot of coins and in it was 2 coins of the east india company that I hadn't come across before.
The first coin is a 2 Pice/ 1/2 Anna dated either 1818 or 1819, weight 20.91g.
The 2nd coin is a 1 Cash from c1695 with the early monogram of GCE, weight 1.63g.
I am not sure which way up the reverse of coin 2 should be, hopefully someone can let me know.

If anyone can offer further information on coin 2 that would be greatly appreciated.

The GCE stands for G(overnor and) C(ompany of the Merchants of London trading to the) E(ast Indies). I think the reverse is upside down - though there's not really a lot to go on with these small coins. It's actually quite a nice coin and scarce-ish. The 1/2 anna is fairly common though.

Hi Bacchus, good to hear from you again.
The 2nd coin ( GCE ) I think is from Sumatra, Benculen from what I have found since yesterday, I still havnt found an example that weighs as little as mine but I have found a 1/2 Dudu that weighs 3.5g and is called a 5 cash.
Quite an interesting little piece.
The hunt goes on.
P.S I also picked up a couple of 20 cash from Mysore in the lot that I identified from 1 of your old posts

The hunt is part of the fun...

Glad that an old post was useful. Those Mysore 20 cash are a neat series. Tricky to get them in great condition though.

It has been suggested that coin 2 is a contemporary counterfeit/ copy from the Tanjore area issued by the Marathas. The replies ended there unfortunately which left me with even more questions than when I started
Having done some searching on the Marathas I drew a blank, no literature or pictures anywhere to confirm what he said.
So basically back to square 1
