I'm working a couple days in Sitka. Alaska. 1 of the banks had a single bicentennial Ike :-)

Got a group of 20 from one of my banks recently - nothing special in terms of dates, condition, or varieties, as expected... turned around and sold them on ebay for a nice little profit.

Got 27 of them from the bank, largest haul so far of Ike's including two D type I bicentennials! I now have a measly 80 Eisenhower dollars total (it's never enough) . Not all from the bank, some from coin shows (silver), etc.

Forgot to post in here that I recently acquired 3 Ikes from one branch and 100 from another... had a few on hand already... turned around and sold 2 13-coin sets and 4 20 coin rolls on ebay for a total of $182... a nice little $76 profit before fees. I netted about $65 off of them. Not bad!

Just got 6 more Ike's from another bank after dumping halves, they are as follows: 1971 D 3 1972 D 1974 1974 D They have some blue gummy stuff on them but I should be able to remove it with acetone. Teller said she tried washing them but it didn't come off.

In all my lunch break hunts for boxes of cents and halves, I've only found Ikes twice. Last week, a bank had ten, so I took them! No silver, which I saw right away, but one very thick rim... turned out to be a 1977-S impaired proof!! My first dollar proof, and first Ike proof - IMO, a scarcer circ find than a silver half. Another was a gourgeous lowball 1971-D! This thing must have been a pocket piece or something, I can't imagine any Ike could have circulated this cleanly. And it's evenly worn, so probably not a casino coin. I was going to add it to my pocket piece rotation, but I think I'll 2x2 it instead. Merry Christmas all!!

Nice finds. That 1971 Ike could of very well been a pocket piece.
