A friend in Indonesia loaded this "token" on Facebook asking for information. I told him it was a modern day copy of a Greek coin. He of coarse asked for more information. The only description I have is that it is: black solid tin with white patina. Any info would be heplful.

The coin is supposed to be silver throughout. On the reverse you can see a base metal core through a missing patch of silver plating. That is an indication that the coin was not minted by the issuing authority. The base metal has the color tone of modern metal not ancient, which would be more bronze. These features are enough to assure that any more detailed analysis will confirm that the coin is a modern reproduction and not truly ancient.

Tell him that.
