Very nice older note. Printed in January 1998 according to BEP reports.

Might have to save those. Someone might want sequential runs of star notes.

I haven't seen too many star notes up here in Canada but I got these two when I ordered some US currency for a trip to Nashville.

It's my understanding that 640K print runs are not really valuable unless they are the only run from a district and series. Is this correct or are there other factors?

Quote: It's my understanding that 640K print runs are not really valuable unless they are the only run from a district and series. Is this correct or are there other factors? In summary - the order of star note rarity, most to least: 1. Star note print runs of 640,000 notes or less that happen to be the only print run for a specific series/denomination/FRB combination AND it is an older series. 2. A similar star note print run as above, except printed for a more recent series. 3. Star note print runs of 640,000 notes or less, where there are other star note print runs in the FRB. 4. Star note print runs of more than 640,000 notes. The larger the print run, the more common the note is. So you would be more like #3 if it had a print run of 640,000 or less but there were other star note print runs in the FRB. When you get to #4 unless its in top uncirculated condition or sold to very casual collectors there usually isn't much added value in most cases. https://www.mycurrencycollection.co...ar-note-rare
