There have been star notes in my drawer in the past, but I normally don't trade them out unless it's a $1 star and in better condition.

A teller at my bank handed me these across the counter some time back.

This one was a "find" from a favorte coin shop, a "no motto" variety, apparently uncirculated.

3 months late, but that's a great note, Lucky Cuss! Nice pickup.

Received this one in change yesterday:

I'm pretty sure these were cut from a sheet. They have a 20,000 serial number skip, like a sheet, and the front plate letters are A,B,C, and D. Somebody must have needed some cash and exchanged them, or deposited them. Collector value on 1976 $2 St.Louis star notes in CU is at least $15-$20 each.

Lucky Cuss - what a remarkable run of notes. I take it they were part of a larger group of bills? A bit baffling, loosing at those S/Ns.

Once I was given the first, I asked for and took all the teller had (or had left), so I can't say.

Learned that this star is a real keeper, so I'm keeping it.

I found what I think is a decent FRN star in my "star pile" (where I place all the star notes I find from circulation and generally don't look at but once or twice a year). Tonight was that once or twice a year.

Post-Your-Star-Notes!

Certainly not as nice as tech's above but still a keeper for me, especially since it's from a 640k run.
