Is there a current uptodate census of the Natick and Gilbert experimental printings? It has been at least 2 yrs since I looked and google doesn't show anything new. Last I kne the census was:
5 1977A EH $1 Natick experimental notes, non-error
12 1977A EH $1 Natick experimental notes with 3rd print on reverse error
0 1977A E* $1 Natick experimental notes
0 1977A E* $10 Natick experimental Notes
4 1963 CA $1 Gilbert experimental Notes, none seen since the early 90's

If anyone knows of any changes to the census please share with us. The more info and photos the better. Last I knew, CCF member jim61 was doing a census but I have been unable to find a finished copy. I see that BrokenCoin has also been working on one for the errors, tho his links don't want to work for me. Any links or data would be helpful. Any of these notes for sale would be a dream. Thanks in advance my friends.

I have also been working on the same Census, searching the Internet, Auctions, etc..

My total Natick overprint on back is still at 12 Notes (3 in my possession), and it would have been 15 Notes, had I not had to delete 3 Notes from Bart's Census due to the serial numbers being off by 20,000 sheets (explained in my CCF Census Thread)...

Not sure why the links are not working on your end...

I also found a site that mentions some series 1963A Gilbert Notes from Block G-G was found in the Safe by one of the 3 new owners...
The BEP claims they can't confirm the G25628001G - G25630704G series 1963A Notes were printed on Gilbert Paper..

Now is that the 1963A series or 1963? I found some references to the serial range $1 1963 G25630162G through G25630434G on hand written notes from the Gilbert paper company, but nothing on 1963A Gilbert's.
Is the range you gave the minimum run size based on serial number range?
I was trying to figure that out as well, I'm afraid I'm not that good at it lol.

Should your search locate series 1963A Gilbert Notes printed for both G- G & G-* Blocks, I found the following ebay lots that would be a steal if printed on Gilbert..

Is this worth the gamble, that is up to you (if I collected non-errors, I would be purchasing these)..

Very interesting, those ebay lots are tempting, tho I'd like it better if they were a bit closer to the run mentioned. Thank you very much for sharing that bit. I'm looking up that thread now, does it also mention the G* notes? Would you mind sharing your source on those if different.

The facts are that Gilbert Paper delivered 1,235,396 sheets to the BEP & they only recorded 20,000 sheets being printed on series 1963 $1.00 FRN, C-A Block...
Gilbert also had series 1963A $1.00 G-G Block Notes in their safe...
Fred Reed was well known in Numismatics, and I believe at one time was Editor for Coin World...
1,215,396 sheets are not accounted for, and I really do not believe the BEP would destroy over 1 million sheets...
The rest you have to piece together...

First I want to thank all involved for your good work. It is impressive. Ok...here is what I have wrt the Natick consensus: E79065691H bp5, 92H bp4, 93H bp3 transaction 5/27/06 $102.51 for all three; 94H-97H sold first, transaction 5/4/06 same buyer, I do not have back plates, $230.10 for the run. I would for sure own these but at the time was out of the country and my location was not secure for such transactions. E79917153H bp6 in fine sold as a BIN for $500 this past year. I own E79830742H pp D2, fp D2079, bp4 in Gem CU.

Thanks for the info! Do you have any photos of these notes? I have the E79917153H info. It sold almost 3 yrs ago. On the others I haven't heard of at all and that would be 9 new notes. Are these errors or regular issue?

Hello, none of these are errors, they are all regular issue. Almost three years since the fine note sold, wow time does fly by. I can only supply a picture of my note but I am not sure how to upload it here. I guess I could figure it out. Somewhere in my holdings I have a bunch of 1977A $10 E* notes in circulated condition. This goes back before any serial number range was assigned to the Natick notes. I will try to find them. I will let you know. Thanks

Thank you. CCF has a great image uploader and edited, you should have no problem. If you do have a problem, let me know and I'll help you out. If you have anything else to help verify the other notes, please share. Auction history or catalog listing are great. Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated. Check those star notes, that would be a phenomenal find!!!
