Is this a star and a birthday note? Just posted in another thread but why not here too. "Found" it from my mother-in-law.

I love all silver certs, but who cares if it's a "birthday note"? Especially when there are multiple ways to define such a "birthday" note? If you can sucker someone into paying extra money for an already cool, yet worn, star silver cert, you win. Don't expect to do better than breaking even overall though.

In my opinion, you have a worn star Silver Cert. While it's in decent shape, it has a huge crease down the center, $10 tops.

Sorry, it's been a bad night...disregard my ramblings..they are nothing but my opinions and should be treated as such.

Yesterday I found a $20 star: MG 05433114 * G3/G8/7, and on Tuesday I found this $10 star:

Both are from full runs, but that's okay, they still brightened my day!

Sorry for your bad night CelticKnot. I know next to nothing about notes so I was actually just asking about it. Grandma brought it over from Thailand yesterday with 4 other well-circulated silver certs and I saw this thread. I have no intention of "suckering" somebody with it; I'll just shove it in the box with the rest of my worthless collection.

I received a 2009 H-* from the 320K print run at work today, how much would it be worth? It's probably in EF-XF condition and I didn't have a problem swapping it out since I replaced coins from the tip jar with the bill.

@kbbpll, sorry again for the rant; it was rude of me. Please don't let my sour response deter you from enjoying your collection and asking questions about currency. Any silver cert is a good one in my book, regardless of condition or serial.

@Coincollector110, I assume you're talking about a $1 FRN? A quick ebay search of sold listings for 2009 $1 FRN H* shows them for up to about $25, even in circulated condition.

I have some star notes from all denominations featured in my YouTube video, though the $100 bills aren't quite mine.

My daughter received a number of star note 100's as part of her bonus. I had her save out one (all were from a 3.2 million run) and I spent my previous star note 100 which had initials on the face side.

I have at least one a star note of each denomination and am now attempting to get a $1 star note from each of the 12 FRBs.

Of all denominations $1-$100? Or just 12 different districts regardless of denomination?

Does the series matter to you?

Double popcorn.

Found this star while counting tonight's cash drawer. Looks to have been printed in the same run as the star that I found yesterday. Almost a RADAR star!

Recent acquisition at coin club auction (4 notes for $5); so for $1.25 each, why not?
