paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 10/25/2015 9:47 pm It depends. Many VAMs carry modest, if any, premium over a "regular" Morgan dollar. If your VAM is a Hitlist 40, Top 100, one of the Elite clashed dies, etc. or a variety that is R5 or better it might be worth a resubmit for attribution, but you run the risk of the coin losing a grade if it's already overgraded. I love the scarcer VAMs but as a buyer and collector there is a limit to how much I'll pay over book just to get a particular VAM; I prefer to look for unattributed coins, personally, unless I have the chance to buy an attributed VAM at low markup. Some of the more well known VAMs will always bring a premium (O/O, O/S, S/S, O/CC, major die clashes, tail bar, spaghetti wing, spitting eagle, hot lips .. etc) and are usually worth attribution. Now, this was my very first post, THE coin that brought me to CCF. I was the casual collector and cocky as heck. Little did I know that I really knew nothing at all. I wanted to know about this VAM thing that made morgans more valuable and thought I had an undiscovered o/s... Boy do I laugh at my younger self lol. But hey, at least it WAS an R-6 ...
