Figured that my fellow CRHers deserved a counterpart to the threads that we have going over in the Main Coin forum. In this thread, we will post at least one coin from every year, going back 1 year at a time until we get stuck. Rules for this thread: Starting with 2015, you must post a coin of the year before the last post, or a different coin from the same year as the last post. No skipping years. All coins *must* have been recovered from circulation. Change, bank rolls, or any other method of circulation--the coin must have been acquired for face value, or for the cost of a coin it is replacing in a roll (in the case of foreign coins). No cheating--don't post coins that were deliberately seeded into circulation, and don't post coins that were pulled from circulation as current issues (before 1965). Let's try to keep this thread to coins pulled from circulation after the year 2000. Good luck! I am sure that between all of us, we can easily make it to the 1850s! I see no reason to stall through the boring years. Go ahead with 2014 if you have it.

Good point Yinzi. I would say that "found in the reject bin" or "found on the floor next to the coinstar" would also count, since the attempt was made to circulate such coins. I don't have any pics of 2014 coins--will try to get some tonight to get us through the more boring years.

None for 2014? Oh well. This ought to be interesting when we get past 'the boring years.' I plan on finally starting CRHing this weekend- I finally have some free time, which is quite uncommon for a high school marching band member. Maybe I'll find something to post.

Good job. Nice coin.  Will this be one year per day like the second and third HFBCWG threads, or an immediate change like the original? That is, do we wait for tomorrow to post 2013, or can somone go ahead and do so? |
