Quote: Found on a cold, overcast, autumn day. A faint waver in the tone of my Radio Shack metal detector. Just on the edge of the outgoing tide water line. Fingers frozen combing through the sand to find this specimen. It was encrusted. When we got back to the house, a dab of ketchup to remove heavy crud. The date, better in hand, was revealed. We did a dance in that kitchen! I love the story. Short and sweet.
